Exceldor cooperative takes the health and safety of its employees very seriously and acknowledges its duty to maintain operations to allow Canadian consumers to purchase our poultry products as part of their healthy eating habits. We understand that being considered an essential service to the population comes with huge responsibilities.
To guarantee steady product supply to our customers, a business continuity plan was developed as soon as the first government announcements related to COVID-19 were made. At the same time, we set up a crisis unit that fully plays its role and allows Exceldor's management team to quickly make all the necessary decisions and adjust the course of action when required.
As a cooperative operating in the food industry since 1945, we have always implemented the most rigorous hygiene, health and biosafety measures in our processing plants. However, given the crisis we are currently facing and in order to protect the health of our employees, additional extraordinary measures have been adopted to further raise hygiene standards in all our facilities. No decision is taken lightly, the objective being to minimize the risks of COVID-19 contamination.
The response to this crisis relies on a deep bond of trust between organizations and the public. In this regard, Exceldor makes every effort to honour this bond and remain a top food option for the population at a time everyone needs it most.
Our mission, to produce poultry that people will be proud to serve, has never been truer than it is today. We are extremely proud of our employees across the country and grateful for them. Together, we are committed to continuing to ensure food supply to our fellow Canadians. Together, we support our communities with quality food, because feeding Canadian families is what we do best. The values that guide the daily life of our cooperative will guide our actions throughout this crisis.
Exceldor thanks its producers and employees: you are at the heart of the solution!
